Ensworth faced off against fellow Tennessee high school, Father Ryan, in what quickly became a one-sided match.

After breaking away in the first half, the Ensworth Tigers dominated for the entire game, winning 41-7.  Father Ryan’s only touchdown came in the fourth quarter on an interception return.

The Tigers were led by their two running backs, senior D’Andre Ferby and junior Donovan Sheffield.  Ferby rushed the ball 29 times for 161 yards and three touchdowns.  To add to it, Sheffield rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.

Defensively, Ensworth shut down Father Ryan.  The Tigers forced one interception and recovered two fumbles.  One of the fumble recoveries was picked up by senior Patrick Miller, who took it 25 yards for a touchdown.

Now at 4-0, Ensworth sits in 15th place in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings.  The Tigers look to expand on their perfect record on Friday, September 27 when they take to the field against McCallie.
