Coming off a tremendous 27-26 come-from-behind victory over Kentucky’s Trinity High School, Ensworth High made a statement in a huge 55-13 home-opening win against Brainerd.
The Tigers started the game off with two huge plays. First, senior running back D’Andre Ferby scored a 49-yard rushing touchdown. Senior wide receiver Kiambu Fentress added to Ensworth’s tally with an 87-yard touchdown reception from junior QB, PJ Settles.
Even with the all around talent of Ensworth’s offense, D’Andre Ferby was in a league of his own, with 104 rushing yards and three touchdowns before coming out of the game at halftime. Astonishingly, the running back average an incredible 34.67 yards per carry.
Moving up to 16th in DigitalSports National Football Ranking, Ensworth looks to Friday, Sept. 13th, when the Tigers face Pope John Paul II at home in their district opener.
